Monel 400-pijp is een nikkel-koperlegering die 67% nikkel en 23% koper bevat. De legering is geschikt voor pijpfabricage. Monel 400 heeft uitstekende corrosieweerstand, hoge sterkte en goede lasbaarheid, die goed standhoudt in een breed scala aan toepassingen. Het heeft een uitstekende weerstand tegen stresscorrosiebraak, waardoor het geschikt is voor mariene toepassingen en niet-oxiderende chloride-oplossingen.
